The Irish College of Music Theatre is delighted to announce its Young Artists Programme for aspiring young classical singers aged between thirteen and twenty one years in partnership with The National Opera House.
This programme is specifically designed to nurture the artistic development of talented young singers wishing to obtain the skills and techniques required for the professional stage.
The successful applicants will be chosen by an esteemed international panel consisting of The Irish College of Music Theatre director and Performing Arts Dean of American College Dublin, soprano Deirdre Masterson, National Opera Studio London and Royal Irish Academy of Music Dublin vocal coach and pianist Dearbhla Collins, director of Mid-West Vocal Academy and vocal tutor at The Royal Irish Academy of Music Dublin, tenor Owen Gilhooly, founder and director of Opera Workshop and Lyric FM presenter, mezzo soprano Shirley Keane, and international tenor and American College Dublin vocal coach Ross Scanlon.
The Young Artists Programme is a specially- tailored course including extensive coaching with a team of experts in vocal technique, vocal repertory, languages, ensemble singing, acting, stagecraft and movement, alongside preparing for roles, scenes and concert presentations.
